Abstract:

Producing higher-quality products while keeping them affordable has always been a challenge in today's competitive market. As a result, producers are actively searching for ways to cost-cutting and increase efficiency. A control chart is the most widely used SPC tool in practice for maintaining process control at a low cost. The X-bar chart is the most widely used control chart due to its simplicity. Despite the fact that the sample mean is an unbiased estimator of the population mean, but the main drawback of the X-bar chart is that the population standard deviation is unknown. With the knowledge available to researchers there are many methods to estimating the unknown standard deviation that can lead to different conclusions. In this study, a groundbreaking approach to estimating the population standard deviation from the perspective of Six Sigma quality is implemented for the design of the suggested control-chart for mean is Xbar Chart based on the Six Sigma with concept of economic design. From the standpoint of Six Sigma quality, the process specification. This paper presents Six-Sigma SS evaluation focused on process capability with SS-X-bar control chart was used to minimize variations in the oil Vapor Pressure characteristic in an oil refining process in Aden, Yemen, a Twenty-five oil Vapor Pressure characteristic samples with a normal distribution were collected at random, each Sample containing four items. According to the study, the sigma level used in the Aden refinery is less than 4. According to the findings of this analysis, the X-bar chart based on the six sigma estimation method is effective in reducing variance in the oil Vapor Pressure characteristic. Furthermore, able to keep the process mean near to the target, resulting in process improvement, as the process capacity improves, the sigma levels increase. As a result of the increase in sigma levels, the process refinery of oil Vapor Pressure characteristic performance improves. Finally, this paper offers the fundamentals and skills needed for quality control researchers and engineers to use Six Sigma to minimize variances.

Author Name:

Feras Nabil Ali Alshboul, and Tameem Nabel Ali Alshboul

Abstract:

This paper examines the current trends in the e-commerce revolution that has set in motion in the Jordanian banking sector and reports on an empirical research that was carried out in Jordan to study the customers preference for electronic banking and the factors, which they considered influenced the adoption of electronic banking. Results based on the analysis of data relating to 300 respondents indicate that while there is no significant differences between the age and educational qualifications of the electronic and conventional banking users, some differences exists on other demographic variables. Analysis further reveals that accessibility of Internet, a wareness of e-banking, and customers reluctance to change are the factors that significantly affected the usage of e-banking in Jordan. The paper discusses on the implications of these. Limitations of the study are highlighted and further research directions are suggested.

Author Name:

Lu’lu’a Naser Subhi Ibrahim Al-shaikh

Abstract:

In the literature, the studies mostly about the relationship between stock market and economic growth or the relationship between banking sector and economic growth. On the other hand, studies are scarce about analyzing the relationship between insurance sector and economic growth. Arguably, the insurance sector may contribute to economic growth by its very mechanism of risk transfer and thereby providing indemnity as well as by the intermediation role it plays in the economy. In this reason, the purpose of this research is to test the relationship between insurance and economic growth in Palestine for the period 2008 until 2018. We use the unit root test in order to check for the stationery of the data and then we check for the co-integration and the causality relation and finally random effect model. The results confirm the existence of relationship but indicate that there is no direction of causality runs from the economy to the long-term insurance or from insurance to economy and this is not consistent with the ‘demand-following’ and supply-leading insurance-growth hypothesis.
