Abstract:

Working capital represents a net investment in short term assets. These assets which are continually flowing (Circulating) into and out of the business are essential day-to-day operations. This study is done with the objectives to analyze the Profitability and Liquidity of the institution and to analyse the impact of Working capital on Profitability and Liquidity of Avalpoondhurai Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society. The researcher is used secondary data in this study collected from annual reports of the institution. This study involves analysis on impact of working capital on profitability and liquidity of Avalpoondurai Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society Ltd from 2007-2008 to 2016-2017. The data are analyzed with the use of ratio analysis and further it correlate with Karl Pearson’s Coefficient of Correlation. The overall profitability and liquidity position of the Avalpoondurai Primary Agricultural Cooperative Credit Society was satisfactory. The correlation between working capital on profitability and liquidity ratio is high. So the impact of working capital on profitability and liquidity position is satisfactory.

3. The Impact of Changing Presidents and their Deputies on Financial Performance in Jordanian Universities: An Applied Study on Mu'tah University

Author Name: Faisal Mahmoud Al Shawawreh, Niyaz Abd Al Salaam Al Ghawazneh, Saad Faisal Al Shawawreh

Abstract:

This study aims to assess the impact of changing presidents and their deputies on the financial performance in Jordanian universities. This study will be applied on Mu'tah University by comparing the financial indicators that are reflected in the final accounts (a statement of assets and liabilities, a statement of revenues and expenditures). It will be compared the after and pre-change stage of the presidents and their deputies according to the identical double methodology, and by using financial analysis tools. Through this study, a vertical and horizontal comparison was made for the list of assets and liabilities on the one hand and the list of revenues and expenditures on the other hand, for the period between (2011-2015). This will not include the year of 2013 because during this year the president and his deputies were changed, and it is difficult to know the effect of each phase in it on financial performance separately. The results of the hypothesis test were found that changing the presidents and their deputies did not achieve the financial goals that were envisaged at the University of Mu'tah. It is noticed the selection and appointment of presidents and their deputies had no significant positive impact on the nature of the financial performance of Mu'tah University. Moreover, it is found that there is a lack of correlation that prevailed between the level of financial performance in the before and after the stage of appointing a new president. As it was noticed that the previous stage of changing the presidents of the university and their deputies was marked by an increase in the level of financial performance, while the post-change phase was marked by a decrease in the level of financial performance. This makes the researcher recommended the need to reconsider the mechanisms of the reappointing new presidents or their deputies and the restructuring of financing and investment decisions (liabilities and assets), and the resulting revenues and costs, because the own revenues will remain unable to cover the increasing fixed and variable costs from year to year.

4. Queuing –Based Comparative Analysis for Performance of Worldwide Airlines Networks for The Transportation of Passengers

Author Name: Lara H. Jaber

Abstract:

This dissertation is an attempt to analyze the performance of the international airport's network and evaluate its performance rates after formulated the model as a queuing network model. Measuring the performance of the airline's companies needs evaluating the transporting passengers and the steady-state performance of the proposed queuing network. This study explains the correlation between the number of aircrafts employed in international airports and its performance. The relationship between the number of aircrafts, capacity of aircrafts, supply and demand of aircraft is considered for each airport, in addition to, the operating schedule of departures and arrivals, and the average rate of passenger service at each airport. Comparing the results of the input parameters and output results for each airport shows that the third airport has the highest access rate. However, it has a faster service rate and a shorter waiting time. While, the second airport has a slower service rate and greater waiting time. These results indicate that the more servers, the faster service rate and the shorter waiting time. The results were validated using ARENA, which confirm the validity of the results which were generated by Matlab, represented through the mathematical equation model. The last part of the analysis examined the delay time at several cases and scenarios, particularly, the first case was including 3 servers, the second case including 4 servers till seven servers. Finally, this study addressing different avenues for future researches.
